Oracle releases InForm 7.0 with long-awaited new functionality within the Electronic Data Capture System. One area that Oracle improved InForm is Testing and user interface.
To test various aspects of their study in a UAT environment, InForm now supports users logging into the InForm UI with a single user account and select a single rights group (from a list of all the rights groups associated to that study). This is not a configurable feature.

The Change Rights Group drop-down list displays every rights group that is available in the UAT study except for:
• Any group that includes ODMSubmit.
• Any group that has more admin rights than the current user.

When looking to see if rights group has more admin rights than the current user, all admin rights are considered except for:
• Subject transfer
• View system configuration
• View user information.

Note: With this functionality, the user cannot obtain new admin rights but can lose them. The only way to change the user to a rights group with more admin rights is via UMT.

In previous releases, users had to create multiple user accounts (one for each rights group) to test various aspects of their study in a UAT environment. InForm now supports type-ahead functionality for selecting codelist values for any item that has a drop-down type codelist. When you start typing in a codelist, the list of values automatically reduces to the values that match what you type.
Drop-down codelist values can now be configured in Central Designer to display alphabetically by label in either ascending or descending order, in addition to the existing sort by entry order.
