IRT Product Manager

The Software Product Manager is responsible for the strategic direction of the Eclipse IRT product, and tactical definition of releases for the individual products. The IRT Product Manager role involves working closely with Sales, Business Groups, Technical Support, and Development to define and execute the product software strategy, feature/release content and roadmap, and go-to-market plans in a dynamic multi-product and multi-release environment.  Responsibilities include Research and Analysis, Product Marketing and Client and End-user support.


The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Research and Analysis:

  • Gather and prioritize product feature requirements with inputs from various stakeholders including: Marketing & Sales, Support, Development, Clients and Industry thought leaders
  • Research and analyze market conditions
  • Identify key competitor and consumer trends
  • Articulate market requirements and opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements
  • Work with development team regarding product development

Product Planning and Management:

  • Drive release planning, define minimum acceptance criteria for features and user stories for development team, work with executive team to establish product roadmap and communicate to clients and stakeholders
  • Determine product specifications
  • Define the long term strategy of the product and create product road map
  • Prepare product documents including Market Requirement Documents and product use cases to drive product activity
  • Develop pricing strategies and product policies
  • Determine product packaging solutions
  • Oversight of product development and validation
  • Manage and communicate with cross functional teams

Product Marketing:

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing in providing customer messaging, product collateral and setting go-to-market plan and strategy
  • Develop product marketing plan and event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand
  • Support sales and marketing with the necessary product knowledge and technical expertise
  • Conduct product presentations
  • Develop sales tools and sales training material
  • Provide input for marketing collateral development
  • Implement marketing plan in conjunction with all departments
  • Drive ongoing improvement in sales and profitability

Client and End-User Support:

  • Interact with Technical Support to determine maintenance software releases needs to resolve client issues and critical requests
  • Manage product-related support, feedback and inquiries from users
  • Coordinate market research to track customer and end-user feedback
  • Use market feedback to inform management of product refinements and ongoing development


  • Bachelor’s degree with advanced degree preferred
  • 5 years previous coding product experience
  • 5 years project management experience with relevant skillsets
  • Proficient in applicable coding software applications
  • Business analysis skills
  • Sales and proposal development experience preferred
